Art Matters

“The arts are essential to any complete national life. The State owes it to itself to sustain and encourage them… Ill fares the race which fails to salute the arts with the reverence and delight which are their due.” ~Winston Churchill 1938

“Life without Art is stupid.” ~Mrs. D

“Peace Compassion Acceptance Honesty Knowledge Education Respect Humility Empathy Truth Love Wisdom Kindness Integrity Grace Honor Tolerance” ~Kristen Reitz-Green, the artist that created the painting below

The week ended sitting in a packed theater in a small town, enjoying the movie “Hidden Figures”. It was a very moving film. Sir held Mrs. D’s hand on his left, and my hand on his right.

This week was just what I needed.

Sinful SundaySee who else is being sinful with me this week.

You are absolutely right about art, and that is a brilliant quote by Churchill.

I can’t imagine a world without art, in fact I’d go as far as saying we couldn’t survive without art.

This is so lovely, the words and the photos. Thank you for being a part of the art.
