#WomensMarch

This is where I am at right now. Oh, and I am warming a turkey dinner for guests. It has been a long day.

All week long, I have been helping at least 400 women organize and make signs for the #WomensMarch, both in Seattle and DC. I was happy to do so since I knew I would be working and unable to join in.

This is my favorite example of humor with a message designed by the amazing people on this island:

Fortunately for me, the place I was working turned out to be two blocks away from the march. I met many women headed that way on breaks. On one break I went down to see it. I went ‘live’ on Facebook, and took the following photos. The group emotional… ‘feel’ I experienced was amazing, so I marched with them, but only for one block. I had to get back to work and to Sir.

*sighs*

I only wish my daughters had been there too.

Well done you, a massive response in London too. It would have been a busman holiday for me. Funny you mentioned Bennie Goodman in your tweets above. We cleared a family members house this week and I have come back with a lot of Bennie Goodman vinyl records x

  2. I couldn’t attend a march, but was there in spirit!

They were all brilliant. I wanted to go to London but sadly my daughter was sick but the whole thing has gone a long way in restoring my faith in humanity

I found myself caught up in a protest outside Trump tower in November, being a Brit I felt it wasn’t my place to protest but the emotion I felt overrode those feelings. Sadly I was elsewhere during the women’s march…typical! It was amazing to see the sheer numbers of protesters worldwide, I really hope this continues!

The US needs something like a new Tea Party, only composed of smart, decent, sane people. I’m grateful to everyone who marched.

Thank you to you (and millions of others!)
