Breathe

or “How to deal with everyday life”

Emotions overwhelm
Breathe
Thoughts race
Breathe
There is not enough time
Breathe
You have no control
Breathe
Your body hurts
Breathe
There is no escape
Breathe
Help isn’t coming
Breathe
Your reactions slow
Breathe
The torment continues
Breathe
Insanity seems certain
Breathe
Focus on your body
Breathe
Feel the muscles
Breathe
Experience sensations
Breathe
Feel alive
Breathe
The mind silences
Breathe
Emotions release
Breathe
Relax
Breathe
Feel life
Breathe
Exist
Breathe
Simply be
Breathe

This is a fabulous post. I love the words, but the picture tells a story worth much more than a 1000 words 🙂

Woah! There are so many layers to that. It reads to me like a heartbreak poem, but I can also see how it could be an interesting sub experience too. Fascinating. I particularly like the way the repetition of “Breathe” forces the reader to pause along with you.

Such stong words and cute image!

Did you write this for me? Those words… I so understand them, the order to them, they way one leads to the next and all the way how breath is so key to finding that space where it will all fade away.

The final image is so powerful. The trousers round your ankles, the blush red to your bottom, the hint of total destruction but I see beyond that to relaxation, completion…. power!

Interesting poem and nice image as well. Now all of us are curious as to how you got to that state.

I know it's all about the image, but I just love the structure and theme of that poem! So clever and elegant.
