Strip for me, I’ll strip for you (TMI Tuesday)

I don’t play along often, but today’s questions caught my interest.

A treasured gift from my strip club days.
1. Have you ever danced naked in front of anyone? What prompted the experience?

I have danced (well, ok, masturbated) on main stage. I have danced (carefully) on a piano. I have danced (poorly) on a brass pole. I have danced in a man’s lap. (Well, ok again… maybe more than one or two laps.)

I used to bartend in a strip club for many years. I never danced when we were open, but after hours it was nice to lock the doors, turn the lights and music back on and perform for select friends.

I never got to finish a dance though…

2. Have you been to a strip club? Was it what you expected?

As I said, I used to work in one. I do remember my first visit to one ever, though. I had met a stripper through a friend (one of those select ones), and she took me and my husband to her club. I loved it! I got my husband his first table dance ever. I was working in a strip club within a month.

3. Have you ever been to an “amateur night” at a strip club?

Only if you count auditions and porn star “feature” dancers. We didn’t have an amateur night, but I have seen at least a couple of the worst strippers ever. I suck myself (at dancing you pervs) , so I know.

I do have to add that a couple of our feature dancers were AMAZING! My favorite was Chantilly Lace.

4. Do you think strip clubs are exploitative or are they misunderstood as simple adult entertainment venues?

I believe strippers, in general, are exploitative. I’ve always said if I had to choose between a stripper and a whore, I’d pick the whore because at least she’ll tell you the truth whether you want to hear it or not. A stripper will tell you what you want to hear. (I’m not bashing all strippers though. Or praising all whores. There are exceptions to everything.)

Do the clubs exploit the women? Of course they do. They exploit the men too. I have never seen any business better designed to remove money from men’s pockets.

Some customers try to exploit the women too, but a good stripper (or bartender) turns that to her advantage. 😉

For those who don’t take it as anything but fantasy though, it is purely entertainment. And a hell of a lot of fun.

5. Would you ever consider stripping to pay for college or other expenses?

I never danced when we were open. I never removed my clothing at work. It’s not that I though I was better. It’s that I thought I wasn’t attractive enough. I made as much as (and usually more than) the strippers when I was tending bar, so I didn’t really see a need.

Customers still asked, and it was easy to say no… until the day someone put $1000 cash in my hand for one table dance… I still said no, he tipped me $100 of it, handed me his credit card, and said I was the only one he would ever trust to run his tab. I more than made up that thousand bucks. (Someone else once offered $10,000, but that wasn’t for a dance. That dude was an ass. Very easy to say no to.)

Now, realistically, I am too old.

6. Have you ever given your partner a private dance?

Oh yes! *grins* The most memorable was me and two strippers dancing for my husband… in our bed. Poor man…

7. Would you ever perform a lap dance for a complete stranger?

Only if Sir ordered it. It isn’t something that would interest me.

8. Showgirls, Strip Tease, Magic Mike … What is the sexy Hollywood stripper scene you have ever YouTubed?

I haven’t. I don’t really get anything from video. It’s much more fun in person. With dollars.

Bonus: Do you have a stripper fantasy, that given the chance of not being found out, you would turn into a reality?

I really don’t dance. Well. Or at all. So the dancing aspect doesn’t interest me. As for the fantasy part, I think I have lived out more versions of that fantasy than most others already. I’m off on new adventures.
